British International School of Timisoara has achieved both international accreditation planned for this year – COBIS and Cambridge.
International Accreditations
Council of British International Schools (COBIS)
The most prestigious accreditation for an international school with a British based curriculum, is the COBIS accreditation and this has been achieved following a rigorous inspection in November 2019 followed by COBIS Patron’s Accreditation in May 2021.
A school with the COBIS label is a school that operates based on specific guidelines of ethical practice and adheres to rigours and robust standards in all areas of the school life. A COBIS school is a school that puts the safety of the children, their emotional wellbeing and their development at the centre of everything they do.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

British International School of Timisoara is a Person Edexcel Examination centre and it is authorised to offer Edexcel Academic Qualifications. National Accreditation
Agentia Nationala de Asigurare a Calitatii Invatamantului Preuniversitar (ARACIP)
BIST has been authorised by ARACIP in September 2021 and has been recognised as an international school with a British based curriculum, following the COBIS accreditation.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Cambridge Advanced
Cambridge Advanced is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education. It offers learners two routes: Cambridge International AS & A Level, and Cambridge Pre-U.
Cambridge Advanced builds on the foundations of Cambridge Upper Secondary, although learners do not need to complete that stage before this one
