Mesajul Directorului

Ungra GIURONIU
PGCE, BA, MA
Profesor de limba română

Cosmin CINDEA
PGCE, BA
Profesor de Educație Fizică și Sport
He practiced basketball during his whole childhood in his hometown, Targu Mures (Romania) where he also graduated the Sports Highschool.
At the age of 21 he moved to the UK to work and higher education. He graduated from Leeds Beckett University (2021) with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Coaching.
He moved from Leeds to Brighton and completed his PGCE Primary with PE course (2022) with the University of Sussex.
He is very passionate about education in general and how children learn. His favourite subject is PE as I strongly belief that physical exercise and sports participation is a crucial factor in modelling and creating healthy behaviours. Sport related activities (PE lessons, organised sports, etc.) generate life skills such as discipline, problem solving, communication and more others, skills that would constantly benefit our existing and future society.
During his time in the UK, he coached the Leeds Beckett University Women’s basketball team, and he oversaw the afterschool’s sport programmes within his placements. He also volunteered during his studies to help with the PE lessons in schools across Leeds and Brighton.
He is looking forward to continuing his teaching career at BIST and learn from his well experienced colleagues. He aims to contribute and have a positive impact within the BIST community.
He enjoys sports in general therefore he plays basketball whenever he has a chance and exercising in the gym. Recently, I found a pleasure for long distance runs. He managed to run this year a full marathon twice, and he’s looking forward for Timisoara Half/Full Marathon next September.
When he doesn’t do sports, he loves listening to Hip-Hop music and drinking coffee in town. Reading and quality time with friends, family and meeting new people is also a must for him.
A life goal of his is that one day he will be able to teach Sports in China, as he’s always been interested in their culture and language.
