Florina was born and raised in Sibiu, a city that continues to inspire her values and love for community and which, she will happily insist, is the most beautiful city in Romania. Moving to Timișoara marked a new chapter, one in which she discovered her passion for education and grew into her various roles at the British International School of Timișoara.
As IB CAS Coordinator and IB Student Wellbeing Advisor, Florina supports students through some of their most formative years. At the heart of her work is a simple but firmly held belief: students should always come first. Whether supporting their wellbeing, guiding them through challenges, accompanying them on activities or simply being there when they need someone, she genuinely enjoys looking after students in the many different contexts of school life.
Florina also serves as our IB Trips and Events Leader, having organised and led a variety of international educational trips and important school events. She is particularly fond of China and is responsible for organising the school’s annual trip there. Having developed a genuine love for the country, its remarkable culture, history and traditions, she takes particular pleasure in sharing this enthusiasm with our students and giving them the opportunity to experience China first-hand.
Alongside her work with students, Florina also heads the school’s Marketing Department, bringing the same energy and dedication to promoting the school and its values. She plays a pivotal role each year in the organisation of our highly successful Graduation Ceremony, helping to ensure that this important milestone is a memorable celebration for our graduates, their families and the wider school community.
Her approach is rooted in trust, respect and the belief that every student can grow into a confident, compassionate and responsible young adult. One of the school’s most dedicated members of staff, Florina is highly valued by her students for her commitment, warmth and willingness to go the extra mile for them.
