Adriana
JENNINGS

Adriana is our School Counsellor and an important source of support and guidance within the British International School of Timisoara community. She joined the school during its very first year of operation and has since played a valuable role in supporting the wellbeing of students across the various stages of school life.

In her role, Adriana works closely with students across a wide range of situations, helping them navigate both the academic and personal challenges that naturally arise throughout their educational journey.

A graduate of Psychology from Bucharest, Adriana also holds a Master’s degree in the field and is a trained therapist. She approaches even the most challenging situations with calmness, empathy, and a reassuring presence that many students and colleagues describe as distinctly motherly in the very best sense of the word.

Her work extends far beyond individual student support. Adriana collaborates closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership to help maintain a positive and supportive environment where students feel safe, listened to, and understood. Whether offering guidance during difficult moments, supporting emotional wellbeing, or simply making time for a thoughtful conversation, she brings patience, professionalism, and genuine care to everything she does.

Adriana is also someone with a wide range of interests and a natural curiosity about life and people, which makes her not only an excellent counsellor, but also a genuinely pleasant person to speak with. Outside school, she is a proud mother to a grown up son who currently lives in Bucharest.

Her warmth, insight, and calm approach make her a highly valued member of the BIST community.
