Maria is our HR Officer and one of the most trusted members of the British International School of Timisoara administrative team. Since joining the school several years ago, she has become an essential point of contact for every member of staff, as sooner or later everyone has the pleasure, or occasional necessity, of finding their way to HR.

A graduate of the West University of Timisoara and a fully certified Human Resources professional, Maria brings efficiency, discretion, and genuine care to her role. She supports both new and long standing colleagues with a wide range of matters, from contracts, payroll, and holiday entitlements to staff documentation, onboarding, and the many delicate details that keep a school community functioning properly.

Maria is often seen around campus looking for various colleagues, supporting staff members, checking paperwork, resolving queries, and making sure that things are done properly and on time. Known for her kindness and reliability, she combines professionalism with warmth, making her not only highly efficient, but also very approachable.

She is genuinely interested in her work and takes pride in supporting the people who make the school what it is. Outside school, Maria is also a proud mother to a teenage daughter, who is every bit as lovely as she is.

We are very happy to have Maria as part of the BIST team and hope she will remain with us for many years to come, ideally until retirement, though preferably not too soon.
