Lia is our Head of Admissions and one of the very first people to have joined the British International School of Timisoara project. In fact, she became part of the school in its earliest stages, before the campus itself was fully ready, which makes her not only a long standing member of the team, but also an important part of the school’s history.

Having been with us for eight years, Lia has met almost every family who has ever joined the school. Every parent and every student has interacted with her at least once, and for many families she is the first reassuring voice and the first friendly face they encounter when beginning their journey with BIST.

In her role, Lia deals with a wide range of admissions related matters, supporting both current and prospective parents with care, clarity, and impressive patience. She is exceptionally organised and maintains accurate records for every student, ensuring that the admissions process runs smoothly and professionally.

Calm, approachable, and quietly efficient, Lia is known across the school community for her kindness and reliability. Colleagues and parents alike always seem to have a kind word to say about her, which is perhaps the best possible recommendation in a busy school environment.

Outside school, Lia enjoys long holidays, especially by the seaside, where she can properly recharge after guiding so many families through their first steps into school life. She is widely credited as the school’s very first employee, a title she carries with modesty, grace, and perhaps just a small amount of well earned seniority.
